Splish Splash

From our previous entry, we shared about our swimming class. At long last, after much postponing as the swimming pool had to be closed due to paip rosak and etc. We had finished our lessons. Yes, indeed we had finished our swimming class but unfortunately I did not graduate or in other words I did not passed the swimming class. I know I know.. biar betol, ada ke orang tak lulus? Ada ke exam swimming? To answer your questions : 1- I am the only one, to put it nicely as my instructor put it 'special case', aku sorang jek tak lepas. 2- ada ke exam? memanglah takde exam, tapi... i'll explain in detail later on.

The swimming lessons:
The normal lesson takes 10 classes. So, the first two classes as explained previously teach you how to breathe and float. Senang kan. Then..

The instructor will teach you usually the most basic swimming style, which is berenang katak or cakap melayu dia kuak dada.
Lesson 3: Guna kaki
Lesson 4: Guna tangan + kaki
Lesson 5: Refine

Then, bleh berenang lah kan? Camne bleh fail you ask?

Lesson 6: In order to betul2 swim, takkan swim tempat cetek right? Kalau tercampak pun, berdiri jeklah cam cerita P Ramlee.. dah cetek kan.

So, in order to make sure you can swim, you go to the deeeep poool.
What you need to do is... you need to JUMP into the deep pool. This is where i failed miserably.. takleh jump langsung.. my feet would not budge. It toook me a while looonnnnggg to jump into the pool.

Obtained from www.CartoonStock.com

FYI, the swimming class combined together with kids, so my friends yang ada anak kecik, my suggestion to you is that...bawaklah, or ajarlah your kids to swim when they are still young. Kalau dah tua cam aku nie, payah wei... the fear is there. Budak2 kecik mana tahu takut, so, they learn to swim to faster and they jumped into the pool without any hesitation. Siap angkat tangan lagik, me! me! nak terjun dulu into the pool.

Lesson 7: They will teach you threading, meaning: float secara menegak dalam deep pool

Lesson 8 and Lesson 9: Refining your swimming style. (kalau advance bleh free style)

Lesson 10: The last class. What you need to do is first jump into the deep pool. Then, threading. Then swim across the deep pool. If you can do this, meaning you CAN swim. LULUS!

So, yes my dear friends, I was not able to do all those cuma the last class bleh terjun dalam deep poool then that's it. So, where I am now? I am repeating the swimming class. Masuk class ngan 'matured' students hehe. Kang pressure ngan budak2 kecik.. they learn fast and serious when I say teach/ bring your kids to swimming classes I mean it. Malulah tgk member dah tua tak reti2 berenang like me. So, wish me luck for my repeaters class, so that I can swim too like the rest huhu.

Sinc or Swim

Elly and I have registered ourselves to a swimming class. It has been ages since we have wanted to learn to swim. But, we kept postponing it. So, at last we have registered. So, came our 1st swimming class.
1st Lesson : Breathing lesson.
The instructor taught us of how to breath underwater. First lesson, everybody did it easily except me. I cant even blow bubbles out of my nose. Instead, kluar hingus adalah. Ok 1st lesson failed.

2nd Lesson: Learn to float.
So, we were told to hold on to side of the pool, then slowly float ourselves and let go of your hand.
Again, everybody did it easily except me. I was OK the part of holding the pool side, but the part of floating myself and letting my hand go, is the toughest part. Then, it occured to me and I have just realzied, that I am HYDROPHOBIC (note: fear of water... as long as my head is above water it is OK, once my head is inside the water is a different matter) . The instrcutor came to me and asked me whether I had any experience of drowning or almost drowning. I said YES. So... that is why, she said that in order for me to learn to swim, I need to know how to float, in order for me to float.. I need to learn to overcome my fear.

So, the rest of the swimming class, I was at the side, learning to overcome my fear.. while watching my classmates and Elly freely floating around the swimming pool.

SINC or SWIM exactly!

Life Oh Life..

Another year, a year older, a year a wiser and life goes on. The serangkai has been busy for the last couple of months. There are those who are furthering their studies (all the best to you our friend, we wish u all the best!), ada yang tgh pulun for final semester, ada yg tgh pulun for thesis, ada yang adding family members and the list goes on and on.

People said that the difference between when male friends get together and female friends get together is that, girls tend to voice out everything with their friends. All the problems they have, etc. Ermm I think that's true, we girls tend to talk out about almost everything. Why we tend to do that? Everybody has problems, no matter how big or small, you have problems, life obstacles, so when you tell someone or share that, it relieves you. Feeling that you are not the onlye one facing a problem. When you hear someone else's problem, at the end you feel like " hey, i tot i was the one who were having a problem, but in reality, there a people besides you who has a BIGGER problem'.

Everything that happens, happens for a reason. Why do we face hardship? So that we truly appreaciate with what we have. For instance, why do we feel hunger? So that once we are full we appreciate the meaning of a full stomach. Why do we feel thirsty? So that each drink really quence our thirst. Why do fall sick? So that, once we are healthy, we appreaciate our health.

As humans, we tend to forget these things, that is why we have obstacles. In the Quran, Allah the Exalted says:
" And it may be that you dislike a thing, which is good for you and that you like a thing, which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know" ( Quran 2:216).

Be patient.. and may our life journey continues with happiness.. furthermore, what is life without obstacles right? So selamat menempuhi 2009M, 1430H to all
